Please explain to me why your product has no blockage problem

Our product causes no internal blockage. If a dog happens to swallow a big piece, the piece can be hydrated out quickly - it turns soft, mushy, and is readily and safely digested. If you put a piece of our product in a cup of warm water, it will soak out in about 3 hours. This is very different from uncooked sweet potato pieces and other chew treats.

How much dietary fiber is there in PieceofLove?^TM chew treat

Our chew treat has more than 5% dietary fiber. This is a very high number for health benefits. It also has reduced calories due to high dietary fiber and very low fat content. Sweet potato itself is a low calorie food.

What is the white frost occasionally seen on some pieces?

The white frost spots occasionally seen on some pieces are natural with cooked sweet potatoes after processing. The white frost is natural sweet potato sugar crystalized on the surface. Sweet potatoes have a natural tendency to show some frosty appearance under our normal processing conditions. We are making our continuous effort to minimize the appearance of white frost.

Sometimes your treat stuck to my dog’s teeth?

Our treats can have minor sticking problem depending on grade variation of sweet potatoes and other factors. Please do not worry about it. This is very temporary. Saliva soaks out the stuck pieces in about 5-10 minutes after the dog is done with the chew. Stuck pieces come off clean. If you have eaten cooked sweet potatoes, you know it is not sticky at all.

Can my dog choke on your chew treat?

Choking happens when a dog tries to finish a piece in a hurry. No treat product can be free of choking. Even a regular food product can cause choking. If a dog, small dogs in particular, has a tendency to chew fast then choke, the owner needs to watch out and let the dog adjust; the dog will eventually learn how to chew properly. Treats that are hard and brittle can even cut dog’s soft tissue and damage the esophagus. Our product has a chewy texture and is safe in that regard.

Where is your product made?

We have our product manufactured in China using our technology. We use human food grade sweet potatoes; and human food grade natural flavor supplied by a US company. Our products are manufactured in a human food production facility. We work closely with our manufacturer and set a high standard to make high quality products.

We have our product manufactured in China simply because our product can not be made in USA with the sweet potatoes we have here. Not all sweet potatoes are created equal for product characteristics and processing properties. We also want to bring quality and value to our customers.
